YSI 556 MPS UPDATE – New PE DO cap membrane, New software features

New improved DO membranes for the YSI 556:

In order to improve dissolved oxygen sensor performance, YSI has introduced the new PE cap membranes for the YSI Model 556.

This new PE cap membrane improves DO flow dependence and produces a faster response time for accurate DO readings. You will therefore require less probe, or sample movement, to get quicker accurate DO measurements.

The new cap membranes are colour coded for ease of identification, just select the membrane type that best suits your application.

Specifications for new DO membranes:

		Blue 2.00 mil PE membranes (YSI Model 5909) have the lowest flow dependance at 18% and a response time of18 seconds*. These membranes can be used in any application, but are especially well suited for low flow, profiling, and flow cell applications.
		Yellow 1.25 mil PE membranes (YSI Model 5908) fastest response time of 9 seconds*, and a flow dependence of about 25%. Sampling applications where DO speed of response is of most concern.
		Black 1.00 mil Teflon membranes (YSI Model 5906, existing product) superb fouling resistance with a response time of 18 seconds* and flow dependence of 60%

Latest 556 software with enhanced graphic features:

Version 1.06 software allows you to view logged data in graph format on the 556 display. Just select file and plot data from the menu to individually view the selected parameters in graph format.
Version 1.06 will also allow you to benefit from the new PE DO membrane technology
